We take action and learn about our changemaking using a shared theory of improvement.
Our theory of improvement is visually depicted in a driver diagram. This driver diagram represents our shared working theory for how institutions of higher education can achieve better outcomes. It creates a common language and coordinates efforts among the many different individuals and academic institutions joined together in co-creating equitable conditions that enable all college students to thrive and flourish.
What’s a Driver Diagram? It provides a graphic framework representing of the proposed aim, key factors (“drivers”) and associated change strategies that are necessary for achieving an improvement aim, and potential change strategies. It is a living framework that is used for learning over time.
